Crane and Harvard Consulting Engineers and its Client are jointly developing a heap bioleaching technology and downstream processing technology for recovery of gold from tailings at a mine in Zimbabwe.
We have developed a working model for the project and used Limn to develop the complex bioleach process. This has had an effect of shortening the product development cycle by allowing many flowsheet scenarios to be analysed. We have in the process saved a lot of expensive and time consuming laboratory test-works that usually accompany such studies.
Limn is an Excel based simulation software that allows the user to model the plant, make changes to the process configuration, add control actions and/or varying process parameters whilst accounting for recyclables more efficiently and effectively. This software package was developed by Dave Wiseman as a flowsheet modelling program for coal and other minerals and can also be utilised to develop Process Flow Designs and Process Design Criteria for other new metallurgical plants.
If you have interesting flowsheets to develop or maybe de-bottleneck please contact us. We are highly experienced in this type of work
